We are dealers in antiques and rugs for nearly 70 years. The Anavian family has been in the business of dealing in eastern arts, including antiques, rugs, jewelry, and archeological treasures for many generations. We wrote the book Royal Persian Kashmir Brocades (1975), and the catalogue of the Asian Museum & Yasushi Inoue Memorial Pavilion Collections (1998). New York University’s professor George Anavian has taught the appraisal course in oriental rugs for 15 years. He is qualified to help you to acquire valuable additions to your collection or for your personal use. He can also offer comprehensive and honest information to all of your inquiries regarding any product, appraisals, conservation, or selling. As a child he apprenticed with his father Rahim Anavian, who has dealt in antiquities, carpets and textiles since 1922. Both Mr. Anavians have wide ranging expertise in many fields of antiques. They have sold to many museums and collections around the world, and have a long time experience with auction houses.
